Career

Morrison is Vice President of Clinical Research Informatics at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, a role he has held since December 2021 2. Before St. Jude, Morrison was Director of Research Information Technology and CTMS (Clinical Trial Management System) Program Director at the University of Washington Medical Center (August 2017 – March 2019) 23. Earlier in his career he spent thirteen years and eight months at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio — first as Senior Manager of Enterprise Systems (2004–2013), then as Director of Research Information Technology (2013–2017) 2. His earliest professional roles were in commercial software and systems work: Systems Analyst at Cars.com (2002–2004), Web Developer at Dawson Resources (2000–2002), and Field Programmer at Discover (1996–2000) 2.

Background and education

Morrison holds a Juris Doctor from Purdue University (2016–2019), a Doctor of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University (2012–2016) with a dissertation titled Successful Grant Proposals: The Role of Principal-Investigator Behavior, a Master of Health Administration from Purdue Global, an MBA from Baker College (2006–2008), and a BA in Technical Management from Baker College (2004–2006) 2. He studied Computer and Information Sciences at The Ohio State University from 1997 to 2001 2.
