In the May 5, 2026 Republican primary she led the field with 38.57% of the vote, ahead of Tom Tunnicliffe (38.16%) and incumbent Christopher Richards (23.27%), and advanced to the August 6 general election 13. Tunnicliffe and Bailey ran an allied campaign, holding a joint kickoff in March 2026 1. Her stated priorities are keeping schools well funded, investing in the sheriff's department, and approaching growth thoughtfully to relieve traffic and preserve community character 1.
