Documented disputes and controversies
At the September 16, 2024 commission meeting, Arnold publicly criticized Commissioner Deborah Bain over Facebook comments she made opposing the county's purchase of the former FirstBank building. According to the Camden Chronicle, Arnold said the posts did not show teamwork among the commission and, addressing remarks he said were directed at him, stated: "I am pissed off. How dare you say those things. Get your facts straight" 4.
