Misty Davis is the incumbent Blount County Commissioner for District 6, Seat B, term running Sept. 2022 – Aug. 2026 1. She won the May 5, 2026 Republican primary over challenger Austin Penton 25 and faces independent candidate Sam Kidd in the Aug. 6, 2026 general election 13.
Office history
Davis was first elected in 2022, defeating Tom Cole in the Republican primary 423–318, for a seat opened by Dodd Crowe's retirement; no Democrat filed, so the primary decided the race 4. "It's a huge win. I don't take it lightly," Davis said 4. She serves on the county's Beer Board, Blount 250 Committee, Commission Workshop Committee, and Education Committee 1.
