Christopher Carbin is the Republican candidate for Montgomery County Commission District 20 in the Aug. 6, 2026 election, running against Democrat Renee Bruens 12. He has called Montgomery County home for a combined 25-plus years and District 20 for 14 years 1.
Background and career
Carbin served in the U.S. Army from 2006 to 2013, with duty stations including Fort Leonard Wood, Korea, Fort Lee, and Fort Campbell, and deployed to Afghanistan with the 723rd EOD 1. After the Army he became a CMCSS teacher with more than 11 years of service and has coached high school football, wrestling, and cross country as well as youth teams 1.
Family
Carbin and his wife, Nikki, have raised five children and attend Hilldale Baptist Church 1.
