Keisha Scott is a Democratic candidate running for Shelby County Sheriff in Tennessee [1]. She is on the ballot in the Democratic primary scheduled for May 5, 2026 [1]. The general election for this office will occur on August 6, 2026 [1]. Scott is competing against Anthony Buckner, Reginald Hubbard, Ricky Pollard, and Michael Pope in the Democratic primary [1]. Regarding the future of the Shelby County Jail, Scott stated that both remodeling and building a new facility are necessary, but she opposed locating a new jail near populated neighborhoods [12].
