Teresa Cottrell is the incumbent Montgomery County Clerk, on the ballot for reelection, unopposed, in the Aug. 6, 2026 general election 1.
Career
Before being elected clerk, Cottrell spent 36 years working for Montgomery County government, including 15 years as Chief Deputy in the County Clerk's office, where she helped manage more than 45 employees, oversaw the department's budget planning, and worked to automate the office's bookkeeping system 2.
