Teresa Crosslin is the appointed incumbent representative for District 3 on the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board and the Republican candidate in the Aug. 6, 2026 election, facing Democrat Darryl Anderson 12. District 3 covers a portion of northwest Clarksville, roughly from the state line to the Bel Air area and from Fort Campbell Boulevard to Big West Fork Creek 3.
The Montgomery County Commission appointed Crosslin to the vacant District 3 seat on Nov. 10, 2025, selecting her over three other applicants with 11 of 19 votes; the vote required three rounds after early ties with applicant Darryl Anderson 13.
Crosslin was sworn in on Nov. 17, 2025, and submitted a resignation that same evening, saying after attending a Tennessee School Boards Association convention and CMCSS orientation that she did not feel she could give the position the commitment it deserved 4. She then withdrew the resignation; County Attorney Tim Harvey issued an opinion that, because the resignation was withdrawn before taking legal effect under state law, Crosslin remained a School Board member 5.
