Joe Cooper is the Republican nominee for Blount County Commission District 2, Seat B, on the August 6, 2026 general-election ballot, where he faces Democrat Jennifer Wright 2. Cooper's path to the nomination followed incumbent Dyran Bledsoe's withdrawal from the race, which opened a seven-day extension for new petitions; John Craw was verified as a candidate under that extension on March 5 and faced Cooper in the May 5 Republican primary, which Cooper won 12.
