Jeremy D. Ball is the Republican candidate for Circuit Court Judge, Part IV, in Tennessee's Fourth Judicial District (unexpired term), which covers Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson, and Sevier counties 12. He was the only candidate to qualify in the May 5, 2026 Republican primary for the seat 3.
Background and education
Ball earned an undergraduate degree from Carson-Newman University (2000) and a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School (2003) 12.
Career
Ball began practicing law in 2003 and served as an assistant district attorney in the 20th Judicial District (2003-2004) and the 4th Judicial District (2004-2005), later working primarily out of the Jefferson County office 12. Governor Bill Lee appointed him Circuit Court Judge for the Fourth Judicial District on January 17, 2025; he was sworn in on January 21, 2025 2. He is a member of the Federalist Society and the Tennessee Bar Association, and serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Dumplin Valley 1.
