Lynn is running as a Republican in the August 6, 2026 primary for Tennessee House of Representatives District 57, representing Wilson County. She has held the seat since 2003 (with a gap from 2011 to 2013) and has been re-elected consistently throughout her tenure.\n\nLynn has been one of the more socially conservative members of the Tennessee House Republican Caucus. She sponsored legislation in 2018 requiring schools to display \"In God We Trust,\" proposed a 2016 bill targeting transgender bathroom access, co-sponsored 2015 legislation targeting Muslim communities, and supported the 2023 resolution to expel Democratic lawmakers following a House floor protest. She has advanced legislation to remove sexually explicit materials from K-12 school libraries.\n\n## Background and education\nLynn was born on April 26, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Cum Laude) from Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (2018). She also holds certifications in Financial Management, Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Quality Improvement.\n\n## Career\nLynn has worked as a Controller at SRG Assets in Mt. Juliet, as a Financial Analyst Consultant, and as a Regulatory Compliance Manager. She co-owns an insurance agency with her husband. In the Tennessee legislature, she serves on the Finance, Ways and Means Committee, the House Ethics Committee, the Joint Fiscal Review Committee, the Workforce Development Board, and the Greater Nashville Regional Council board.
