Brent Carter is a Republican candidate for the McMinn County Commission, District 1, on the August 6, 2026 county general-election ballot. District 1 elects two commissioners, and it is an uncontested race with two candidates for the two seats.12
Office history
Carter currently serves as one of District 1's two members of the McMinn County Commission, representing the Riceville area of the county. The commission is made up of ten members, two elected from each of the five districts to four-year terms.2
