Jennifer (Terry) Shockley is an independent candidate for Scott County mayor in the August 6, 2026 general election 1. Her campaign has centered on economic and job development, strategic planning, and the county's response to industry and the proposed Roberta II landfill 2.
Career
Shockley is president of Cumberland Clear, a volunteer-based organization she has led for nearly a year that formed to give local citizens a voice in decisions affecting their communities and has become one of the most visible opponents of the proposed Roberta II landfill 23. She has said the group's goal is to ensure the law is followed and to seek transparency when large projects affect families, property owners, businesses, and natural resources 2.
