Sheryl (Sheri) L. Nichols is the 3rd District member of the Cumberland County Board of Education and is the Republican candidate for the seat in the August 6, 2026 election 13. She has received the Tennessee School Boards Association's Level I Boardsmanship Award 1.
Legislative record and accomplishments
On January 23, 2025, the Board of Education voted 5-4 against renewing the contract of Director of Schools William Stepp. Nichols was among the four members who voted in favor of renewing the contract 2.
