John Worley was elected Alderman in 2012 and re-elected in November of 2016, and currently serving his third term. A resident for some 30 years, he continues to be an active member of the community. Alderman Worley has been in the residential home building industry since 1976. He served as Vice Chair of Government Affairs Committee for the West Tennessee Home Builders Association and also as a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Worley served on several Town Boards and committees; including, the Construction Board of Appeals, the 2040 Land Use Plan Steering Committee, the I-269 Small Area Plan Steering Committee, the extensive study for a Collierville 20/20 plan, and the Downtown Historic Square Development Steering Committee. Currently he serves as Alderman Liaison for the TOC Planning Commission. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Collierville Chamber of Commerce and previously served on the site selection committee for Schilling Farms YMCA in Collierville. Mr. Worley and his wife Donna are members of Collierville United Methodist Church, have six children, and nine grandchildren.
