Current office and 2026 campaign
Mike Pogreba is the incumbent Humphreys County Executive and is running for the office in the August 6, 2026 county general election.12 On the official Humphreys County sample ballot he is listed as an "Independent Candidate," opposed by Republican Party nominee Charles Niman and fellow independent candidate Danny Waggoner.2 In his official message to residents, Pogreba promotes the county's available land for homes and business, its recreational assets including Kentucky Lake and area rivers, and its industrial base and business tax rates.1
Office history
Pogreba serves as Humphreys County Executive, the county's chief elected administrative officer, with offices in the Rawlings Building at 102 Thompson Street in Waverly.1 He also serves on the board of the county's economic and community development organization (Select Humphreys / Humphreys County ECD).3
