She was a member of the Shelby County Board of Education since 2014 until 2022.\n\nClay Bibbs was hired as the chief of staff at Teach For America in Memphis in 2019. She previously worked as the executive director of Teach Plus and the director of community engagement at Green Dot Public Schools. Every day she works towards leaving a legacy of service and servant leadership behind. She is a native Memphian that has had the opportunity to live in Washington, D.C., and Virginia. She is a proud graduate of White Station High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Marketing from Hampton University and working on a graduate degree at the University of Memphis.
