The Germantown Board of Aldermen consists of 5 members who have all been residents of Germantown for at least 15 years, and each member being paid 12,000 annually as well as serving terms of 4 years. The Germantown Aldermen have a meeting on the second and fourth Monday of every month from 6 PM to 8 PM at Germantown City Hall, 1930 S. Germantown Road. Also, the Aldermen developed a plan for the future labeled as Germantown Forward 2030 which consists of using volunteer Germantown citizens for specific task forces such as volunteering to pick up trash, chaperoning for school trips, helping at soup kitchens etc. (The URL has more info on Forward 2030)
