He begin serving in that position on January 1, 2021.  Kevin and his wife, Crandall, have lived on the edge of the Bartlett Historical District since 2005.  They have three children, Elizabeth (12), Amelia (9) and Robert (5). The two oldest attend Bartlett City Schools and Robert will start at Oak Elementary this fall. \n\n\n\nKevin grew up on a farm in the Arkansas Delta, lived in Jonesboro, AR while attending Arkansas State University and moved to Shelby County in 1994. \n\n\n\nKevin spent over 20 years in broadcast television before becoming the Social Media Manager for the Museum of Science & History - Pink Palace. His experience in public service began in 1999 after joining several non-profit boards. He was also appointed by Mayor Mark Luttrell and approved by the Shelby County Commission three times to be a member of the Shelby County Historical Commission and term limited at the end of 2021(current Chair of the Historical Properties Committee); appointed member of the Bartlett Historical Preservation Commission (current Chair); Board member of the Bartlett Education Foundation; Board member of the Davies Manor Association (Vice-President); and the Bartlett Historical Society (Vice-President and Technical Advisor). He is also active in helping Oak Elementary, Elmore Park Middle School and Grace Presbyterian Daycare, where his children attend.  As an Alderman, Kevin will be serving on the Bartlett Historical Preservation Commission and the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center (BPAC) advisory board. Kevin was elected as Bartlett Alderman Position 6 in 2020. \n\nIn addition to formerly serving on the boards of several Memphis non-profits and the Shelby County Historical Commission, Kevin currently serves on the board of the Bartlett Education Foundation; the Tennessee Municipal League District 8 as Secretary; Chairman of the Bartlett Historic Preservation Commission; Alderman liaison to the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center and the Bartlett Industrial Development Board; the President of the Bartlett Historical Society; President of the Davies Manor Association (the historical site); Vice-President of the West Tennessee Historical Society; Social Media advisor to the Northeast Shelby Republicans; and advisory board member to the Wolf River District, Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America.
