Current office and 2026 campaign
Chris Webb is the Republican candidate for Marion County Sheriff on the August 6, 2026 county general ballot 12. He was one of five candidates in the May 5, 2026 Republican sheriff's primary and won the nomination 3. He faces Democrat Anthony Gamble and independents Michael "Scott" Burnette and Doug "Moby" Henderson 1. The seat is open because incumbent Sheriff Ronnie "Bo" Burnett is not seeking re-election 1.
Career
Webb has worked in law enforcement for more than 32 years. He began his career with the Marion County Sheriff's Office in 1993 and joined the Kimball Police Department in 1995, rising through the ranks from patrol officer to sergeant to captain 24. He serves as the Kimball department's general instructor, overseeing training and certification submitted to the Tennessee POST Commission, and as network coordinator for the Cumberland Region of the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, working with 27 county sheriff's offices and 58 police departments across the region 24.
Legislative record and accomplishments
Webb is a past president of the Fraternal Order of Police, a board member of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Officers Association, and has been recognized as Officer of the Year by a local VFW post 4. His campaign platform emphasizes integrity, accountability, and equipping deputies with training and support 24.
Family
Webb is a lifelong Marion County resident. He and his wife, Stacey, have been married 34 years and have two daughters, Ashlyn and Autumn, and two grandchildren 4.
